Ferrous Solutions Inc. Expands Into Larger Offices

CANTON, Ohio (June 17, 1999) - Ferrous Solutions Inc., a Canton, Ohio-based provider of custom-blended scrap materials and software solutions for steelmakers, has moved into new, larger administrative offices.

The new offices, at 4806 Munson St. NW in Canton, provide an additional 1,800 square feet for staff use, according to J. Edward Norris, president of Ferrous Solutions. The company's sampling furnace is located at 2025 Dueber Ave. in Canton.

Founded in 1996, Ferrous Solutions uses computer-modeling, sampling and quality control techniques to blend scrap mixes to customers' specifications. FSI also provides the Alchemist Scrap Management System, a software package that enables steel producers to manage their scrap operations more effectively. In addition to helping manage inventory, the system enables operators to calculate the best mix of ingredients to yield the desired chemistry at the lowest cost.
